The accessory bandwagon continues...now with Jeep. They to are realizing that their customers spend a lot of money once they leave the dealer lot. Many of the accessories are expected but the interesting one is the possibility of a lift kit. No OEM has ever made a stock vehicle which included a lift kit. Great accessories and a lift kit without voiding your warranty, how sweet is that.

They also have a new computer ordering system called–EASy. This stands for Electronic Accessory System. This came out to dealers late last year and will go online for consumers to build their own Rubican Crawlers March 31. We will be keeping an eye on this to see just what else they will offer for the ultimate warrantied Jeep.

Mopar lift kit on the way for Jeep

Automotive News reports that Jeep dealers will now be offering a wide range of Mopar accessories for Jeep products and that a Mopar lift kit will soon be available! What would this mean for factory warranties? Would a dealer-installed lift kit comply with those terms?

Other Mopar accessories that are already available through the new EASy, or Electronic Accessory System, include an off-road navigation system, chrome grille (like the old CJ Laredos,) a winch and heavy-duty bumpers. Although this system debuted at Jeep dealers last year, it will become an online consumer tool on March 31.

Mopar Makes Customizing Jeeps Easy With New System

Mopar is now making it easier for Jeep customers to modify their future vehicle, using their computerized ordering system called EASy, which stands for Electronic Accessory System. The system was launched late last year to allow dealers to work with customers on their lot with customizing their favorite Jeeps, and is now being released online to the public on March 31st. The new EASy system will allow modifications to any Chrysler vehicle.

Jeep accessories: Mo' for Mopar — Performance-parts brand wants to team with dealers to outfit new buyers' vehicles

Mopar launched a computerized ordering system--EASy, which stands for Electronic Accessory System--late last year to allow dealers to work with customers in customizing vehicles. It can only be used by dealers now, but it goes live online for customers on March 31. The computer system was developed for Mopar by Snap-on Business Solutions in Richfield, Ohio.

The first dealer to install the EASy system improved accessory sales from $180 to more than $300 per vehicle, said David Foutz, director of global marketing for Snap-on Business Solutions.

Dealership service departments will install the gear.

Because most customers buy accessories within 90 days of purchasing their vehicles, dealers have a good opportunity to cash in early. Customers will be able to use the new ordering software to soup up any Chrysler vehicle.

Jeep Accessories Now Done Before Delivery by Mopar

Generally, if you’re going to off-road your Jeep, it needs some accessories. Something Jeep dealers have known for years, but have had nothing to offer customers. Now, thanks to Mopar, Jeeps can get trail-ready before customer delivery.

Mopar has launched an online accessory system that lets potential buyers customize their vehicle. The system, Electronic Accessory System or EASy, is currently only accessible to Jeep dealers, but on March 31 the customer will have access to the accessory system.

Online scheduling, parts sales build service work

EASy enables buyers to customize Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles with Mopar accessories at the time of purchase or later. Customers can buy the parts online and pick a dealership for installation.

Dan Hutton, service director of Tom O'Brien Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge in Greenwood, Ind., says the system is easier to use than paper catalogs of parts: "Now it's just a click of two or three buttons."

Hutton says customers' use of the EASy system helped increase the dealership's accessory business 30 percent last year over 2006.
