Explanation of System Types
Windows Network/Server
A Windows Network or Windows Server is a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
configured with multiple clients. The clients access the EPC over the
network. The update is performed only on the Windows Server.
Windows Standalone
A standalone system is a Windows 98/2000/XP PC running the Snap-on EPC. The
software (CD or DVD) is loaded directly on the PC and it does not access the
EPC over the network.
Sun Unix
Similar to a Windows Network system, the Sun Unix system is a server based
configuration using a Sun Server. Multiple clients can access the Snap-on EPC
over the network. The update is performed on the Sun Server.
