Volvo Construction Equipment
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) turned to Snap-on Business Solutions to develop a
solution that would increase the support levels for their customers. Tightly integrated
into Volvo's e-commerce site, Snap-on Business Solutions' Consumer Module enables Volvo CE
customers to access the most up-to-date parts information in multiple languages, 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year.
The Consumer Module also features a powerful search engine that allows customers to search
for parts by full or partial part number, description, model number, or serial number.
Volvo CE expects the Consumer Module to help them grow their spare parts business. It
provides their customers with the ability to create a shopping cart of spare parts which
can then be routed for quotation by an authorized Volvo CE dealer.
According to Kjell Gyllhag, General Manager Engineering and Publications Support at Volvo
CE, "The Snap-on Business Solutions project team was extremely professional in all phases
of the design, development, and roll-out of our customer parts catalog. This project had
very tight deadlines and the Snap-on Business Solutions team was required to collaborate
with various Volvo personnel from both the U.S. and Europe in order to finish this project
on time and within budget. I couldn't be more pleased with the way everything turned out."
